Unique Chemistry Wall Mounted Periodic Table Clock

Created in our workshop, a unique piece crafted using reclaimed wood.  

This is a one-off piece manufactured from a reclaimed piece of Iroko salvaged from a school chemistry laboratory desk.

Iroko is a beautiful and incredibly stable/resilient tropical hardwood, and we have purposely retained the scratches, marks and details added to the desk by generations of chemistry students, protected by 3 layers of finishing wax. 

The clock face is inlayed with printed Unisub panels displaying the periodic table elements nos. 12, 3, 6 and 9.

The clock benefits from a silent German manufactured battery powered quartz mechanism, inlayed into the rear of the clock for wall mounting courtesy of an inlayed metal keyhole bracket and contrasting brass fingers.

This really is a unique piece, which we will not be repeating.
