In Frank Capra's 1946 masterpiece Clarence Odbody (Angel Second Class) finally earns his wings after intervening as guardian angel to save George Bailey's life. Through his actions, Clarence then helps a desperate George to realize the positive effects that he has had on others' lives and enables him to appreciate the life he has.
